In addition to experience as both a CPA and an attorney, Jane has seventeen years of legal recruiting experience. She has successfully completed national searches for companies seeking attorneys and compliance professionals ranging from executive-level general counsels and chief compliance officers to staff attorneys and compliance analysts. She has also worked with international, regional, and local law firms to help them find top partner, associate, and law technology talent.
Jane currently serves as Managing Principal of Momentum Search Partners and continues to recruit for companies and law firms. Her recruiting experience spans legal and compliance departments in many industries, including financial services, energy, renewable energy, healthcare, biotech, manufacturing, retail and technology companies.
Jane obtained her JD with honors from the University of Texas, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and an associate editor of the Texas Law Review. After law school, she practiced law with Thompson & Knight, an AmLaw 200 firm based in Dallas, focusing on commercial and oil and gas litigation. She obtained her undergraduate degree with high honors in Accounting from the University of Arkansas, and worked for Price Waterhouse as a tax accountant prior to law school.
Jane lives in Austin with her lawyer husband and teenage son. She has been a speaker on legal hiring/attorney placement and career development, and she has served on various boards of directions in the Austin community. She spends her free time biking, gardening and trying to keep up with the reading for two very fun book clubs.
Jennifer is a founding Principal of Momentum Search Partners and specializes in helping law firms and companies alike find top talent in attorney, paralegal and compliance professionals. Jennifer is a native Texan and a third generation graduate from The University of Texas, Austin. During her early years she worked in the advertising field, specializing in radio and print in Houston and Austin. Jennifer was recruited by a fortune 100 company to open their Austin office and develop a business base, serving law firms and large corporate clients with innovative facilities management solutions. She performed in-house complex business analyses of customer’s capital costs, personnel and internal communication requirements in order to develop a smarter and more cost effective way to manage their operations. Law firms and corporations across Texas partnered with Jennifer due to her customer driven focus, professionalism and tailored solutions in helping them manage their personnel and business needs.
Jennifer lives in Austin with her husband and has two sons in college. She values her family, friends and faith and can often be found cheering on her Texas Longhorns, riding her bike through the hill country or sitting by the beautiful Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas.
Micah Hurt, J.D.
In his eighth year as a legal recruiter, Micah came to the recruiting profession with prior experience in both public relations and in private law practice. After beginning his career with a large New York-based public relations firm in Houston, Micah became an attorney in 2001. He practiced as a commercial litigator in both Dallas and Houston until 2008. Micah has recruited attorneys for both law firms and Fortune 500 companies, as well as smaller companies. He has experience working with associates, partners, and in-house attorneys at all levels.
As a native Houstonian, Micah has emphasized the energy industry on many of his searches. In that regard, he has worked with major energy and energy services companies on in-house legal searches ranging from General Counsel to staff attorneys. In fact, the energy industry has been part of his life for as long as he can remember, as his father was an attorney with ExxonMobil for over 30 years. Micah’s wife works in the energy business as well. So, the energy industry is completely intertwined with his life experience — both past and present. Because of these personal ties, Micah especially enjoys working with energy companies to add legal talent in an ever-changing global marketplace.
Micah obtained his J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 2001, where he served as Articles Editor on the Computer Law Review & Technology Journal. Prior to law school, Micah earned his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
Micah lives in Houston with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys football, soccer and spending time with his wife and three daughters, and his boxer, Rex.
Mary Alice Naiser
Mary Alice has twenty years of experience in legal recruiting. After attending the University of Texas, she began her legal career as the Recruiting Coordinator for a large Texas law firm, where she managed the attorney recruitment efforts for their offices state-wide. She later became an outside legal recruiter and has completed hundreds of searches for law firms and corporations, managed existing clients, and developed new business.
Mary Alice has experience recruiting and placing legal secretaries, paralegals, compliance professionals, office administrators, contract administrators, and attorneys. She has also managed many large document review projects, including a 100 lawyer document review for an international financial, software, and media corporation. She has been an active member of the Capital Area Paralegal Association, the Austin Legal Professionals Association and served on the Board of Women in eDiscovery.
A native Austinite, Mary Alice has two teenage daughters in college. She enjoys walking/hiking, gardening, and exploring the Texas Hill country.
Allison has seventeen years of legal recruiting experience in Texas. She recruits attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff for law firms and in corporate legal departments, all on a temporary, temp to perm, and direct hire basis. In addition, Allison has extensive experience staffing document reviews on both a national and local level and with both English speakers and those fluent in foreign languages.
Allison is active in all of the Austin legal networking and professional groups she has always enjoyed, such as Women of Wind Energy, Capital Area Paralegals Association, the Austin Legal Professionals Association.
Allison is active in her two young children’s schools and sports activities. In her spare time, she loves to travel, cook and spend quality time with friends and family.
Cade made the move to the legal recruiting profession after spending 18 years in the financial markets. Prior to joining Momentum, he served as Corporate Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a broker dealer and global electronic trading firm. Cade was responsible for all corporate and contractual matters, liaising with outside counsel on arbitration and litigation matters, as well as the firm’s global compliance program.
Having lived in Dallas for over 20 years, Cade’s network reach includes broker dealers, private equity funds, hedge funds, oil and gas firms, as well as some of the finest boutique and Am Law 200 law firms. His broad network extends beyond Texas to the financial hubs of New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. His primary emphasis is on building strong personal relationships within the legal and business community. Cade lives in University Park with his wife and three sons. He coaches youth lacrosse for Highland Park Boys Lacrosse. He and his family love vacationing each summer in South Walton, Florida along the scenic 30A.

Julee has seven years’ experience handling paralegal, legal assistant, and contract attorney placements for law firms and in-house legal departments. She made the move to the legal recruiting profession after eighteen years as a Trial Paralegal with several of Houston’s top trial firms. She managed large cases in the areas of complex commercial litigation, labor and employment, energy, antitrust, and intellectual property litigation. Her final year as a Paralegal was with a major oil and gas company, supporting its Deputy General Counsel.
Due to her paralegal background, Julee understands the needs of her law firm and corporate clients and knows how to spot top talent in the legal industry. She truly has a passion for the legal profession, which allows her to be effective for both her clients and candidates. She has placed numerous paralegals, legal assistants, and contract attorneys with leading companies in Houston and with national, regional, and local law firms, and brings the utmost professionalism to every search she undertakes.
Julee obtained her Paralegal Degree and Paralegal Certificate from the Center for Advanced Legal Studies with Honors. She is also a Certified Paralegal through the National Association of Paralegals (NALA) and is an active member with the Association of Legal Administrators, State Bar of Texas, NALA and the Houston Metropolitan Paralegal Association, where she serves as Past President.
As a native Houstonian, Julee lives in the Northwest part of Houston and has two children. Her son will graduate soon from Texas A&M with a Petroleum Engineering degree, and her daughter is in high school. Julee enjoys spending time with her friends and family, working out in the gym and watching basketball.
