Momentum is proud to be long-time members of NALSC, the National Association of Legal Search Consultants. This professional organization is comprised of 200+ search member firms and recruiters from all over the United States and Canada, as well as other international locations. It is run by a board of 13 directors elected by its members, with each director serving a three-year term.
We are happy to announce that Jane Pollard has been re-elected to the NALSC board for an additional 3 years. She was also elected Treasurer, Chair of the Audit/Risk committee, and a member of the Ethics committee. The audit/risk committee manages and advises NALSC on insurance options, professional liability and cybersecurity. The ethics committee investigates concerns it receives from NALSC members regarding other members. These duties fit in well with Jane’s experience as a CPA and an attorney prior to transitioning to legal recruiting. A founding member of Momentum Search Partners, Jane manages all aspects of Momentum’s operations and many of its client relationships, as well as actively recruiting for in-house legal departments and boutique law firms. She has successfully completed national searches for companies seeking attorneys and compliance professionals ranging from executive-level general counsels and chief compliance officers to staff attorneys and compliance analysts.
An increasing number of legal employers incorporate a clause requiring adherence to the NALSC Code of Ethics® in their recruitment contracts in order to assure that all the recruiters they work with abide by certain ethical standards.
In addition to maintaining a strong Code of Ethics for the legal recruiting profession, NALSC is also dedicated to:
- Enhancing the image of the legal search profession through national public relations;
- Providing education and information on trends and issues in the marketplace;
- Monitoring and responding to legislative and regulatory activity that may impact the legal search profession.
In furtherance of these goals, NALSC hosts a three-day conference every Spring in a major U.S. city that changes from year to year, and it also hosts a one-day Symposium each October, either in New York City or Washington D.C. The next event will be the Fall Symposium on October 21st, 2021 in Washington D.C.
